• The course commenced with a discussion on the importance of art and the placement of it. The way art work can influence the intention for interior design and particularly the effect of hanging it in a certain way at a certain height
• The landscape is the key to guiding placement and orientation of a home or business structure. There are always elements that need to be acknowledged especially if you have sloping land, gullies, rivers, trees, power lines and busy roads.
• This pond was created following my practitioners course 5 years ago and has created a beautiful entry to my design studio
• We used several existing design projects that I am working on to expand my initial concept proposals and it was great to see the results of my learning
• it is ideal when you know you can attract enthusiastic clients, open-minded trades people and create very unique practical solutions for somewhere like a reception for a dental practice
• part of any professional growth is being able to apply the knowledge. hand-on experience of transforming a room into something amazing is proof of action creating tangible results. Being able to let go of the image of what was important to you and allowing the feeling of new beginnings is what living Feng Shui is all about. The feeling of clarity for me was immediate and inspiring
• physically clearing and cleansing the space also clears the mind
• One of the main areas often needing a cure or two is the wealth and abundance sector. Here I was guided to connect to the land spirits of my garden and was led to this magnificent tree. I felt a distinctive vortex of energy and once I connected with it and allowed the flow, I placed a gold laughing Buddha and 4 (sector 4 on the grid) chosen rocks into the pocket between the roots and all felt calm and open to receiving.
• Dowsing is also a great tool to highlight land ‘blocks’. Using a map of Gympie, Roseline pinpointed areas of ‘disharmony’. The power of intuitive guidance and trust led us on a beautiful journey. Starting at the identified point north of our city, we arrived at a watercourse and we immediately welcomed by a duck gliding to land on the water. Roseline and I looked at each other simultaneously and chuckled. the Duck then jumped up onto a pipe in the middle of the dam and we knew it was affirming our presence.
• The second point we were guided to was to the south of city and sure enough there also a bird was awaiting our arrival and our presence was acknowledged. The connection between the 2 critical points became clear by our channeling the energy and all felt really refreshed.
• The reason that communities become stagnant and activity slows is often due to unseen energy blocks and changes to the flow of energy. One of the significant areas we located in the main street was this shop which is absolutely filled to the rafters with stuff that felt really oppressive.
• speaking to the tenant of the next building , she certainly wanted to update the feel of the street view and open up to new and abundant opportunities. We are now consulting on her new business façade and internal layout.
• One way to truly connect with a community and its identity is to visit the local museum. The Gympie Historical Mining Museum is a treasure-trove of memorabilia and information. The key industries of early Gympie included Gold Mining, Timber and Cattle. There is also a significant recorded history of the indigenous groups in the region.
• We noted the impact of the flooding and typhoons during recent years and related it to the impact of the wind and water of Feng Shui
• This course has been a wonderful experience and fully compliments my life and profession.
My home and garden are living example of how Feng Shui can enhance the quality of life experience. Thanks to Roseline for all your continued guidance.
